Actually, I don't think we can do this sync. The Debian packaging was
completely independent and it looks like a bit of glue will be required
to ensure smooth upgrades (also somebody should go over the rest of the
diff in more detail). The bit that seems most likely to be a problem is:

-Package: libxml++2.6c2a
+Package: libxml++2.6-2

Doesn't the new package need to declare a Replaces on the old one, at
the absolute minimum?
