Binary package hint: gscan2pdf
When scanning a book you have two options, either scan a double page or scan only a single page, which often requires you to manually fix the book while scanning. The drawback when scanning double pages is, that you get a double page as one page, which is often inconvenient for screen reading. Programs for bookscanners give you the option to split this page into two by placing a vertical line where you wish the page to be split.
This may also make ocr easier.
** Affects: gscan2pdf (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Confirmed
