  Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
  The current package in Ubuntu hardy contains a patch to work with the latest libquicktime code. Since the new Debian package is a new upstream version, this patch is no longer needed. The new debian package now also builds against glib 2.0.

  Changelog since current hardy version 0.3.0-12ubuntu2:

  smilutils (0.3.2+cvs20070731-3) unstable; urgency=low

    * Removed watch file, since it's outdated and upstream probably won't
      make any further releases anyway (closes: #450039).

   -- Roland Mas <lolando at debian.org>  Wed, 07 Nov 2007 09:40:41 +0100

  smilutils (0.3.2+cvs20070731-2) unstable; urgency=low

    * Correctly handle "nostrip" build option (closes: #438033).

   -- Roland Mas <lolando at debian.org>  Wed, 15 Aug 2007 17:42:47 +0200

  smilutils (0.3.2+cvs20070731-1) unstable; urgency=low

    * New snapshot from upstream CVS, since the last external patch was
      merged upstream.

   -- Roland Mas <lolando at debian.org>  Tue, 31 Jul 2007 09:34:31 +0200

  smilutils (0.3.2+cvs20070728-1) unstable; urgency=low

    * New snapshot from upstream CVS, to cope with the new libquicktime
  API.

   -- Roland Mas <lolando at debian.org>  Sat, 28 Jul 2007 15:59:09 +0200

  smilutils (0.3.0-11) unstable; urgency=low

    * Make the package buildable twice in a row (closes: #424251).

   -- Roland Mas <lolando at debian.org>  Wed, 16 May 2007 10:15:34 +0200

  smilutils (0.3.0-10) unstable; urgency=low

    * Rewrote package descriptions (closes: #354207).
    * Upgraded to Policy 3.6.2, Debhelper 5.

   -- Roland Mas <lolando at debian.org>  Sun, 19 Mar 2006 18:37:16 +0100

  smilutils (0.3.0-9) unstable; urgency=low

    * Thanks to Steve Langasek, smilutils now no longer links with
      libfreetype6 (closes: #348286).

   -- Roland Mas <lolando at debian.org>  Sun, 12 Feb 2006 12:14:09 +0100

  smilutils (0.3.0-8) unstable; urgency=low

    * Removed usr/sbin from debian/dirs. No need to create a dir if nothing
      goes into it. Yay for micro-optimisation! (closes: #307123).
    * This rebuild should get us rid of old libraries such as aalib and
      slang1 (closes: #320876, #321551).
    * Adapted to the "new" ffmpeg API (closes: #320992, #348529).

   -- Roland Mas <lolando at debian.org>  Fri, 10 Feb 2006 21:56:55 +0100

  smilutils (0.3.0-7) unstable; urgency=low

    * Added build-dependency on libgnome-dev to remove a warning during
      build. Also added libltdl3-dev which for some reason seems to be
      required now.
    * Made short description a bit more explicit (although the long one was
      already explicit enough, but whatever) (closes: #282442).

   -- Roland Mas <lolando at debian.org>  Thu,  2 Dec 2004 13:21:14 +0100

      3.4 (closes: #281270).
    * Fixed debian/rules file to have proper depends (closes: #281678).

   -- Roland Mas <lolando at debian.org>  Wed, 17 Nov 2004 19:36:18 +0100

  smilutils (0.3.0-4) unstable; urgency=low

    * New maintainer.  Thanks, Jens!
    * Initial upload to Debian (closes: #216776).
    * Added watch file.
    * Rebuild against libdv4.
    * Set priority to "extra".
