Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:

- From the debian maintainer:

Release seems stable, i've been using it (and the RC preceding it) for

bip (0.6.1-2) unstable; urgency=low

  * Drop .examples as they are installed by make install.
  * Fix indent in init script.
  * Add a sleep in init script for a safer restart.
