I don't mean to clutter the bug report, but is there any info/progress
on this?  Is there an ETA of when it will show up in the repositories?

If testing/packaging help is needed, I'm more than willing to help,
though I've never really packaged or backported anything before.  I'm
definitely willing to read up and learn though.
