Confirming that the latest Debian package fixes this bug, and requesting
a sync. Thanks for the report - and thanks for your help with this,

Please sync python-rpy 1.0-rc1-5 (universe) from Debian unstable
(http://packages.debian.org/unstable/python/python-rpy)

There are no Ubuntu changes
