Please sync vpb-driver 4.2.23-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main).

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
Current Debian version uses an explicit call in debian/rules to use bash, avoiding FTBFS

Changelog since current hardy version 4.2.22-2ubuntu1:

vpb-driver (4.2.23-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * Update for gcc-4.3. Thanks to tbm for the heads-up. Closes: #456048
  * Update for kernel 2.6.23, unregister_chrdev() has changed its signature.
  * Be explicit about bashisms in debian/rules. Closes: #453640
