Damn, requestsync decided to clag in the entire changelog, sorry about
that.
Anyway, near as I can figure, the Ubuntu changes are:
* Various gcc 4 fixes, which don't seem to be needed anymore since the thing builds fine on i386, and I will be testing amd64 as soon as the new python2.4-minimal hits mirrors.
* Python 2.4 transition stuff also isn't needed, due to Debian's switch to python-{support,central}.
* Examples install changes is a sticky point, since I can't seem to find any evidence of this in the patch at all, but the vtk-examples .deb looks sane and installs fine.
* The __helper.py fix for failing to remove from sys.modules has been fixed upstream.
