Steve, can we hold this sync back, until new ghc6 (and toolchain) is in
place?

Otherwise we'll have to do a rebuild once the newer ghc6 is in place,
because haskell library packages need a strict versioned dependency on
ghc6 (it's not guaranteed that there will be no abi changes between ghc6
versions).
