I have this problem as well. I downloaded all the patches and got them installed and my CPU still goes up to 100% and stays there until reboot. I can reproduce this problem by just open Firefox, OpenGL apps, and a few other programs. Any other ideas? -- High CPU usage https://launchpad.net/bugs/54684
