[ubuntu-ar] Problemas al actualizar a 11.10 para poder recién actualizar a Ubuntu 12.04 lts

Estimada lista, si bien el asunto es medio complicado es lo que me
está sucediendo y no sé como resolverlo:
Decidí actualizar a Ubuntu 12.04 pero no podía sin antes actualizar a
11.10 (hasta entonces tenía 11.04 y funcionaba todo bien pero sentí
que estaba muy atrasado con ella)
Cuando comencé a actualizar me avisó que una serie de repositorios se
desactivarían entre ellos los relacionados con GIMP; cuando intenté
volver a instalarlo (el cual lo uso mucho para mi trabajo) me tira
esto:

Intenté de todo (google, foro de gimp, hasta intenté compilarlo) a
gimp pero algo pasó que me da errores.
Si alguien me puede ayudar con algo de todo esto se lo agradecería enormemente.
PD/ No quisiera tener que reinstalar Ubuntu 11.10 desde cero ya que
tengo una VBox para el testeo de unas clases que estoy realizando pero
si no se puede formateo todo menos el /home
