Las Unichrome de Via son tan malas... Tengo una en la desktop y con 
10.04 anda perfecto, no tuve que tocar nada. Eso si olvidate de efectos 
de escritorio.

Lo que te diría es que pruebes con el driver Openchrome (creo que viene 
incluido en Ubuntu) Sino una busqueda de Openchrome en Google te va a 
dar bastante data.
