Vuelvo a responder acá para mantener el orden. Decía: Perdón que
discrepe con mi tocayo, pero el error te dice que está en la línea 1
de este archivo /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pidgin-ppa.list.
Hacé lo mismo que antes para pasarnos el contendio de ese, es decir
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pidgin-ppa.list
