ehh, yo probe de las dos formas y abre:

laureano en laureano-laptop:~$ virtualbox

laureano en laureano-laptop:~$ VirtualBox

y despues haciendo whereis:

laureano en laureano-laptop:~$ whereis virtualbox
virtualbox: /usr/bin/virtualbox /usr/lib/virtualbox /usr/lib64/virtualbox /usr/share/virtualbox
laureano en laureano-laptop:~$ whereis VirtualBox
VirtualBox: /usr/bin/VirtualBox
