Te ayudo a armar el bug-report, mi inglés es malo pero (creo) se entiende.
Ya que el problema vino con el kernel 2.6.24-7, deberías reportarlo en
ese paquete, en todo caso alguien lo moverá a donde corresponda.

Para hacerlo, seguí estos pasos:
* entrá a https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+filebug
* click en "report a bug"
* logueate (o registrate)
* Completá los datos:

     Package: kernel-image-2.6.24-7-generic-di (supongo que ese es el
paquete, ¿no?)

     Contenido:

After update the kernel, it shows an error saying that I need to
install mousetweaks. I installed it, and a lot of dependences.

Now, after reboot, it shows an error message that I can't see. The
main problem is that I can't start any program as root, it never shows
me the password dialog.

(corregime si está mal, entendí que nunca te muestra el cartelito que
te pide el password para el sudo ¿Es así?)

The mouse works some times and some times I have to use the keyboard
to access the menus, etc. I can't launch any icon on the panel,
because when I click it, I get an arrow to move it.

The window manager isn't showing the control buttons (i.e. maximize,
minimize, close, etc).

I have an onboard nvidia. Before I update my kernel, the systems
detects it without problems, but now it isn't showed in the
"restrictive drivers".

As resume: It's a disaster.
