hmmm, claro...
bue, entonces después del ctrl-alt-f6 hacé sudo killall -9 gdm (si es
ubuntu) o sudo killall -9 kdm (si es kubuntu) y después el startx

cuando hagas el sudo te va a pedir un password, es el tuyo.
