If you installed with the instructions on that page, including
installing 'ubuntu-sdk' package, the Qt Creator should have been
already installed, together with the Ubuntu plugin for it. So please
double-check you have 'ubuntu-sdk' installed in Synaptic.
There's a known upstream bug / wishlist item that Qt Creator does not
reconfigure itself if you have started it before the Qt 5 was
installed, so the original Qt 4 auto-detection stays. You should first
manually add the Qt 5's qmake under the "Qt versions" tab, and then
add a new Kit which uses it by default.
Alternatively, you could just reset/remove your configuration at which
point Qt 5 would be autodetected - see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qtcreator/+bug/1164504
