Font rendering in QtCreator on 13.04

Hi all

I upgraded to 13.04 yesterday and decided to install the Ubuntu SDK as well.

I have experience with QtCreator but did not need to use Qt5 until now (as it is the default pulled in on 13.04). For all my Qt projects so far Qt4 was sufficient.

However when I compare the look of the font in the editor window within QtCreator in 13.04 to the font in QtCreator in 12.10 (and prior Qt4 version apps) there is a huge difference in the quality of the font rendering.

Now I tried searching for these issues on google and came up with a few links but nothing exact. Surely I cannot be the only person affected by this?

Seeing that the Ubuntu SDK is the promoted tool to get developers to code for the new Ubuntu touch devices (which by the way looks amazing and is the reason for me to want to get into the SDK) there must be a fix or workaround to resolve these 'ugly' rendered fonts. 'ugly' off course when one compares them to the GTK rendered fonts in 13.04 and to the fonts in previous versions of QtCreator.

Any links and or advice will be much appreciated.

Kind regards,
