I'm happy to volunteer my home @ arabian > ranches as a venue. </DIV>We used to meet monthly, but as most of the meets involved a bar, beer or a pakistani restaurant there used to be between 5 and me as the usual turn out. Great fun when it happened though. I'd be happy to get together for a monthly meet somewhere, it's usually a laugh at worst and educational at best. Oh, and I'm relatively new to Ubuntu, having my first install being 6.06LTS when it was released, but I've been using Debian for a few years now. I use Ubuntu exclusively on my Laptop (6.06LTS heavily patched) - Desktop (7.10 Dual boot with MacOS but very rarely in MacOS) - Spare Laptop (8.04) - Co-Lo Servers (6.06 LTS-Server). Other machines around the house all run Debian (Servers, NAS, TV, Stereo) and a few mix and match variants of Familiar, Angstrom and dd-wrt (3 iPAQ, Linksys WRT54GL and Buffalo WHR-G54S). I do have an iPAQ that runs windows, though I only use it as a bootloader for Linux with HaRET, and my TV box boots into DOS 6.2 on a USB keystick to run loadlin and load linux. I do have a Windows install in Virtualbox on my Desktop that I use for Microcontroller fiddling and AutoCAD as required. Now I've typed that all out, it's pretty scary really! I do actually own a device that has it's original OS on it (actually 3).. My Treo(s) 680 still runs PalmOS.. but it's only a matter of time I tell you!
