The two Compaqs I have are different. One uses F2, and one uses F8,
which are kind of unusual. They are also extremely fast booting, and it
is hard to hit right. I have to push and hold the key right after the
memory checks, but it seems there is only about two seconds or so to
hit it. Sometimes I have to try about 8 or 10 times to get the bios
screens. There is always a delay between hitting the key and the bios
coming on screen.
