Anyone know how to increase the console font size

Hello all all,
Here is how I turn off kernel mode setting. First, I find out which video
driver I am using via lsmod. I my case it is the i915 driver. Next, I
add an append statement in grub that looks like
i915.modeset=0
Now you should have control over your display again when you restart.
Maybe this will help in setting fonts sanely.
Cheers,
Josh

Kernel mode setting sets the correct resolution for the display at the kernel level. This affects the text size of the console. You can disable kernel mode setting for your hardware, but I don't know how its done. You would have to look in the kernel documentation for the intel or ATI hardware you are using to learn how to turn kernel mode setting off.
