question about partition editor?

Hello all,
I am using Ubuntu 8.04 lts, and noticed something odd.
When I opened partition editor to remove the SUSE partitions that had been there before, orca stopped speaking. Is there a way to make ORCA speak with the partition editor? Is there also a way to install with speech? I know there is but how do I do it?
