Questions about Intrepid Ibex

Hi everyone,
I am interested in the upcoming Ubuntu release and I have got some
questions about it.
Will the brltty boot parameter not be evaluated anymore? I already
noticed about the Ubuntu version 8.04 that the indication is not being
evaluated. BrlTTY is not started although I entered the brltty parameter
at the boot prompt.
If I start BrlTTy manually it does not work on the console. If I switch
to a console by pressing Strg+Alt+F1, nothing is being shown on the
Braille display. Do these problems continue in Intrepid?
Another note about the orca setup: the available options are being read
by the voice output. However, one cannot interrupt the voice. This is
especially impractical with long lists as one can have already entered
his/her choice but still has to wait for the end of the list.
If one installs Ubuntu with a Braille display, it should be secured that
BrlTTY is being started while booting. Especially for beginners it is
unpleasant if they are left without a Braille display right after the
installation and are possibly dependent on help from someone who can
see. Especially the alternate install CD offers a great support of
Braille, but it is a pity if one is able to install the system software
independently but then already meets the first obstacles.
I would appreciate it if these problems would be fixed in the final
version.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Simon
