I was wondering about the patch for adman apps that I heard was going to be added

Hi, Some time ago I heard a patch was going to be added so we would not have to run adman apps from the root account. I was wondering what the status was of that, and if in will be in intrepid by final release. 
I see system cleaner and a utility for making a usb disc has been added. But I have to run both of them from the root account.
