Assistive Technologies

Hi,
I'm 'fed-up' with my Assistive Technologies settings being changed by
the system. I note that when a s/w failure occurs and a reboot is
necessary 'default' settings are loaded.

1. Does anybody know where the 'default' settings file is - maybe I can
then change the 'defaults' to my needs?

2. On the same vein, does anybody know where I can define (or how to in
a script) the Caps Lock key as a modifier key so that it, too, will beep
when pressed?

Many thanks,
David
