When you attempt to play media files and loose speech, what speech synthesizer and backend are you using? Gnome-speech or speech-dispatcher?

As I said in my previous email, I need more information as to what you tried with speech-dispatcher. Fetch the latest update, and try again. Of upi sto;; jave [rpb;e,s, please post to the list with what you have tried, so that I can get a better idea of how I can try and help resolve the issue.
