having a problem

Hi, two things.
First thanks for including the espeak driver.
I notice the speech is much better using espeak.
   I am having a problem as follows.
Sometimes after getting the drum sound at login.
After entering my user name and password I get no sound.
The system seems to freeze.
When I shut it down and restart again things work fine.
This seems to happen quiet  often.
Has anyone else had this problem.
