could use a little help.

                                Hi, I have run into a problem when trying to del files on
the windows drive using ubuntu.
I either get a message that I don't have permishons to del the file,
or it says the drive is write protected.
How do I take care of this and turn off write protection on a drive.
The other strange thing is it says I am the owner of directories,
but when looking at the drive properties it says owner unknown.
