sharing folders

Hi, I see the shared folders setting is now red by orca. Here is the problem I am running in to. I installed the shared folders for linux and windows as it said.
If I go to shared folders It seems to be okay. But, if I go to share a folder, orca says shared folders not installed. It gives the option to install but this doesn't seem to work.
Also, I notice a lot of apps now have this unlock button on them. Is there a way to use this with orca. Enter doesn't work.
