can anyone help with deleting a lot of files

Hi, I used avimux on a system today to convert a file to images.
It made several thousand of them and now I can't get in that folder.
Orca stops speaking when ever I try.
I assume there are to many files for the browser to see.
My question is how can I del these files.
They are in mike in the home folder.
