Public bug reported:
Onboard 1.4.1-2ubuntu1
Running ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver development branch
When I tried to change settings for onboard I found that it requires a special app to change settings.
I could not install that app because I was not connected to the internet.
I could not connect to the internet because onboard has a bug where I cannot type an uppercase letter to connect to a wifi network that has a password.
Onboard settings app should be installed by default as a recommended
dependency of onboard.
Onboard is currently using the "compact" layout on my Microsoft Surface
Pro 2. The compact layout is extremely lame. It uses 60% of the width of
my screen and wastes the rest, making it unnecessarily tedious to switch
layouts (letters / numbers / special chars) constantly.
Selecting a different layout does not provide any way to activate it in
onboard settings.
** Affects: onboard (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
