Thanks for your feedback.
For Chrome there are screen keyboard extensions that could do the job, but are not so nice as onboard.
Maybe builting a custom chrome extension that could possibly "call"
onboard when required (address bar, text / input fields, etc) could do
the trick and combine chrome with onboard instead of using third party
extensions.
Is was also strange to me that pre-installed FireFox on Ubuntu supports
onboard "out of the box".
Let us know when you have a new release of Onboard!
