Sure. The X230t has three wacom devices:

kup at reinhold:~$ xsetwacom --list
Wacom ISDv4 E6 Pen stylus       	id: 11	type: STYLUS    
Wacom ISDv4 E6 Finger touch     	id: 12	type: TOUCH     
Wacom ISDv4 E6 Pen eraser       	id: 16	type: ERASER    

The finger touch device is the one onboard needs to support (and, in
addition the stylus device would be helpful).
