Public bug reported:
The brltty daemon tries to use a cp210x USB-to-serial adaptor as a
braille device (so I don't get a /dev/ttyUSB0 node). Expected behaviour:
brltty shouldn't touch the device, because it's not a braille device.
The device is a "ID 10c4:ea60 Cygnal Integrated Products, Inc. CP210x Composite Device".
Ubuntu 11.10.
Package version: brltty_4.2-8ubuntu5_amd64.deb.
A workaround is to remove the brltty package, which I have done enthusiastically.
** Affects: brltty (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 874181
