I've tested this in Natty and I've observed:
Opening Sound Preference - Alert tone, (hope that is so in English), if move up the volume and press a key noone sound is reproduced, but if we click on on another tone, the theme is switched from Ubuntu to Personalized.
Now we press the initial of one of the tone and it is reproduced, highligted but not selected, and appear the box of the typed letter.
If we press another time the initial of the Tone before the letter box is desappeared no sound is reproduced, but if we wait that this box disappear we can press and hear again the tone sound.
