[Bug 579177] [NEW] Clicking in edit-box does not always so caret/cursor

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: dasher

If entering a load of text, then clicking on the edit box to alter
something, the text entry caret may not always so.

This violates laws of user feedback as the user doesn't know that the
mode as changed from dashing at the end to dashing in the middle.

Ideally the text caret should always display a caret!
