Greetings Mark (and Technical Board) -
I have consulted with Jason DeRose (https://launchpad.net/~jderose) and he
has agreed to my nominating him for a position on the technical board.
I have known Jason professionally and as a fellow Ubuntu member for nearly
5 years. During that time, he has spent considerable energy improving
Ubuntu through personal projects (Novacut and Dmedia) and professional
endeavors (System76). Throughout my time of working with Jason, he has
always kept abreast of the changes in the ecosystem, thoughtfully engaged
in debate, and demonstrated a continuing interest in ensuring that Ubuntu
maintains it's key role within the FOSS ecosystem. It is my belief that
the technical board would benefit significantly from his wisdom and
thoughtfulness going forward, and I gladly nominate him for the position.
Sincerely,
David Overcash
