Hey Kees,

There is no solid testing for most of GNOME (glib has a good coverage, 
GTK a decent one but otherwise the coverage is pretty poor), they have 
freeze rules on stable series and we review the diff before uploading 
though. I do think though it does make sense to trust the desktop team 
when we think that an update is a reasonable one, we tend to be cautious 
on what we upload, I still appreciate review from the SRU teams for 
those uploads in any case.
