When we last looked at this (a long time ago) James Troup was
unconvinced about the pool's actual quality of service. Before we make a
change, we should have a solid rational basis for it beyond the claims
of the website. Is there any independent commentary or analysis to
support it?
Similarly, it would be useful to have any data on the quality of
ntp.u.c.'s service surfaced for review at this point.
As MDZ pointed out, ntpd is used for folks who have a more serious
requirement than rough clock coordination. But by the same token, that
means that they may well have their own opinions about which services
they want to depend on.
