This seems like a good compromise to me. We could start with just
keeping all changelog entries of the current release, and then
perhaps drop them altogether in a later release, when the world knows
about apt-changelog.

It's a bit tricky to determine which of the Debian changelog parts
would belong into our "current" release. Does it sound okay to you to
just include the topmost 10, or everything from <= 6 months (relative
to the topmost changelog date)?

Me too.

I did some samples on a maverick live system, and we can eliminate a
magnitude of 90%. From my POV this should be "good enough" at least
until the next LTS; by then, everyone who looks into changelogs at all
should have seen the apt-changelog pointer.

Didier, Stefano, what do you think about this?

Thanks,

Martin
