We have limited support for Emoji in Storm right now, but only in
MySQL with a specially supported storage engine:

  http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/blackhole-storage-engine.html

It's ridiculously fast, which makes it a good choice even if you don't
want Emoji.
