I enjoy the game of `hunt' now and then, as does everyone, I suspect.
<br>
<br>
Recently, however, huntd has mysteriously stopped working as it should;
it complains that my hunt version is mismatched, eg;
<br>
<br>
celtic@xyrias:~$ hunt
<br>
Enter your code name: celtic
<br>
Enter your team (0-9 or nothing): 0
<br>
hunt: Version number mismatch. No go.
<br>
celtic@xyrias:~$

I thought nothing of this, and SSHd into my friend's box where we
happily hunted.
<br>
<br>
*However*. Be very careful. A few hours after I tried to play hunt
unsuccessfully, I noted that, whilst playing Stepmania (a graphically
and audiably hardware-intensive game), everything was very, very
lagged. I struggled to see why; updatedb wasn't running, nothing was
processing in the background.
<br>
<br>
Then I ran top.

If you read correctly, that's huntd consuming almost half of the AMD
Athlon64 3200+, using 219 minutes of CPU time while it's been open; not
even anyone on the server (my workstation is personal). I'm not quite
sure what kind of bug this is, but this message is a warning; be
careful with hunt!

Could you file a bug? One of the developers may be able to help you
with that.<br>
