You think so?

I mean, GNOME 2 is vaguely more Mac-like than KDE, but the resemblance
in both to Windows is far stronger than the resemblance of either to
the Mac. A top panel is not a fixed menu bar. The folder windows have
a (now-optional) tree, which is a Windows thing, and it's always
sported a Windows-like Start menu analog. The keystrokes and so on are
very Windows-like.

Frankly, I'm surprised that no significant Linux desktop is
particularly Mac-like. I know that Windows is dominant but MICROS~1 is
a far bigger litigation threat than Apple these days.

And come to that, while wondering why there is no Classic MacOS nor OS
X clone Linux desktop or distro, where, come to that, are the
ripoffs^H^H^H^H^H^H^H loving recreations of GEM and the Amiga, or of
Irix or SunOS?
