Facebook users: ask for Linux software

I just had this pleasant conversation with a Nuance (Dragon Naturally
Speaking voice recognition software) representative about porting the
software to Linux. I suggest that Facebook users start contacting
companies with Facebook fan pages and public request that they support
our favourite OS. After all, they certainly won't start if there is
zero perceived demand!

-- Lynn Heath: How can we assist you today?
Customer: Does Dragon run on Ubuntu Linux?
Lynn Heath: That's a good question. What I can do is transfer you to a
product specialist who can answer it and ensure you are getting the
correct product and pricing.

Would that be helpful?
Customer: Yes, please, thank you
Lynn Heath: Good. Before I transfer you can you please provide your
name and phone number?

This information will allow us to connect back to you if there is any
interruption in the chat connection or to follow-up with you if
further investigation into your case is necessary – it will only be
used to resolve your request.
Customer: Dotan Cohen
Customer: (972) 54-788-1700
Lynn Heath: Thank you. I will transfer you now. Please be patient as
we are currently experiencing higher volumes than usual. Your expected
wait time for the next available agent is approximately 5 minutes.
Lynn Heath has left the session.
Please wait while we find an agent from the Nuance - Sales Dept
Proactive department to assist you.
Hi, My name is John Guthro. Please give me one moment while I review
the information you have already entered into the chat.
John Guthro: Hi Dotan,
John Guthro: Sorry to say, no it does not run on Linux platform.
Customer: Can I request that it be ported to Linux too?
Customer: To whom would I make product suggestions?
Customer: I'm willing to even pay in advance.
John Guthro: Maybe you should start at the Facebook fan page? They
respond to inquiries.
Customer: So I must subscribe to facebook in order to make suggestions?
Customer: I'm not a social kind of guy
Customer: that's probably why I use Linux!
John Guthro: I see.
John Guthro: On the Nuance web page there are contacts at about us.
Customer: One minute, I'm looking for it.
Customer: No, I cannot find where to make such a suggestion. Where is it?
