Oy! You left out a patchy server which is not really a biggie BUT not 
even touching the whole blooming javascript/ecmascript/DOM mess 
certainly does not give you the right to call it a bitter history.

The bit about M$ and the DOJ is just a rant against collusion between 
big government and big business. The real stuff is the blooming 
scripting/DOM wars.
