That bit was quite blatantly a whole bunch of corporations
deliberately tweaking Oracle.

I'm wondering if there aren't already intimations of this.

The message this sends is "sorry Oracle, you're too dangerously insane
for us to work with." Which is a quite reasonable response to the
Oracle suit against Google. I work in a Java shop; lots of people
going "oh ... no ..." and seeing their CVs go up in smoke when they
heard about it.
