Ubuntu to use its netbook Unity interface in 11.04, not GNOME 3

Ooh, this is quite big. Just found a mention of it, oddly, in a
Wikipedia article, not where I expected to find tech news...

So apparently the SABDFL doesn't like the look of GNOME 3. Well, that
seems fair enough to me - I've watched the videos and so on and I
don't either.

But going with the new and not-all-that-well-tried-yet Unity netbook
interface on the desktop? My, that's courageous. I don't know what
it's like - it won't run on my Thinkpad X31. Mutter constantly dies &
forces a desktop reload, every 5sec or so, in a loop. It does this on
a mouseover of the "dock", without even a click.
