Neelie Kroes, European Commission Vice-President for the Digital Agenda,
said in a speech at the "Forum d'Avignon - Les rencontres internationales
de la culture, de l’économie et des médias" that she wants to modernize
the fragmented European copyright legislation. She wants to reduce the
role of third parties that claim to represent content authors.
