Racism is indeed bad and has no place in modern day society. It
creates unnecessary gulfs between us. Why do we need to stay
separate? Why can't people of different skin color and/or nationality
get along with one another?
Racism = Stupidity, in my book.
In addition, the Birther Movement and the Tea Parties fight back
against Racism accusations so hard because they know its the truth,
and they know that their message looses all validity when people
understand the true reasons behind their message. These groups were
encouraged by the (US) right-wing media; Fox News, Rush "Boss"
Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Newsmax, etc. The GOP even "used" these people
and their movements to stir up controversy in order to get their
votes. Its backfiring on them now, as the (US) right-wing wing-nuts
are trying to get a political voice and its bringing to light the real
agenda of the GOP. They know that once mainstream American learns the
truth behind the GOP's actual agenda they'll loose votes.
To summarize, this whole fiasco is about RACE. Yes, we Liberals play
the Race Card because its the Truth. To quote Jack Nicholson, "You
can't handle the truth!"
And don't get me started on that greatest of evils in America ..... Religion.
