Of interest as an interim solution is the "Smokescreen" project:
http://smokescreen.us/
which was originally intended for iPhone/iPod/iPad (interesting how
Adobe will take out full newspaper ads saying they want to have Flash
for *that* platform...
http://www.computerworlduk.com/community/blogs/index.cfm?blogid=10&entryid=2960
but then again, Adobe has always treated desktop Linux as a second
class citizen ):<

"Smokescreen is a new open-source project aimed at converting Flash to
JavaScript/HTML5 to run where it previously couldn’t and better
interoperate with webpages where it previously could."

Very awesome.  Demos here: http://smokescreen.us/demo/
